1 year anniversary of my retirement. What a bloody ace year it has been!!! Marked the occasion with a delicious tasting menu at Hern in Chapel Allerton.
Also marks the last day of this blog. It’s so good to look back and remind myself of all the fun I’ve had during this year. I weirdly didn’t;t miss work at all!
Things I have learned about myself:
- I love having fun
- I actually like gardening
- I have a very high threshold for boredom!!
We’ve got some amazing things planned for this year and I’m going to hopefully build some decorating skills. Wish me luck!
Jeremy came up with the blog name “2 Dead Cabbages and a Dusty Easel” and he wasn’t completely wrong. I did manage to grow beetroot, radishes, lettuce, spring onions and tomatoes but didn’t;t quite do as much art as I had hoped (other than sketching with Ella and Sharon, a mixed-media class and Dog Life Drawing) but fortunately I’ve got all the time in the world to rectify that!
I wrote this blog for myself and it’s helped inspire me to do things, so highly recommend for anyone else embarking on an adventure!
